Lung Cancer Survival Rates

Improve Survivability by Boosting Glutathione

People want to know: What are lung cancer survival rates?

Lung Cancer Survival Rates

This is not an easy question to answer without more information. Age, type of and stage of the cancer all play a part in answering the question, what are cancer survival rates.

Warning: Some will look at the lung cancer survival rates to confirm and give up hope. Others will look at this as odds to be beat, believing they can be of the few.

At GlutathioneDiseaseCure.com we believe evidence suggests higher survival rates can be realized by seriously boosting your glutathione levels in your body.

Many times people will not pursue this, thinking it is too expensive, if it is not covered by insurance or other reasons. A few who will not accept an option of hospice will pursue the GSH route and beat the odds. We have seen and can introduce you to such patients. One story can be found on Web MD. If you are interested, please drop us a line and we will tell you where to find it.

Good health to you,

Nurse Jon

Before looking at the lung cancer survival rates, consider the background information that plays a role.

Before treatment or surgery, the progression of the cancer needs to be determined. This is called staging. Different types of cancer have their own staging system. There are two different groups of staging...more on types of stage grouping....to come.

Roman Numeral Staging 1, 2, 3, or 4

TNM Staging or I, II, III, IV

Staging is further divided into...

Clinical stage: physical examination, radiologic examination, and endoscopy.

Pathologic stage: examination of the tumor microscopically by a pathologist.

Some cancers do not have a staging system.

Staging is considered one of the best predictors of survival rates. Staging also provides the basis for knowing the best way of treating the disease progression.

The stage of the cancer predicts the chance for survival after therapy. The less the cancer has spread, the greater the chance for long term survival.

Stage I cancer includes those tumors that are small and only are located in the tissue of one lung. This often includes tumors about the size of a golf ball. These are often referred to as nodules on x-ray. Surgery with this limited extent of disease can result in 80-90% cure rates.

Boosting GSH for these patients helps the healing and increases the long term prognosis.

As the cancer spreads into other parts of the body, the staging number increases. The higher the stage, the less the chance for cure, the shorter the expected life span and chance of surviving.

Boosting GSH helps prevent the spreading, improving the long term lung cancer survival rates.

Patients are further separated into two other groups: low risk and high risk for recurrence.

There is also a histopathologic grouping of cancer.

The two histopathologic groupings....

Histopathology: Definition; a compounded word histos = "tissue", pathos = "diseases-suffering", and ology = denoting a subject of study or interest. It is the examination of a biopsy or surgical specimen by a pathologist, after the specimen has been processed and sections have been placed onto glass slides. This is the most important means of clinical diagnosis of cancer and other diseases.

It may be used to better predict a patient's prognosis and expected response to therapy.

Having surgery, although a factor in increasing life expectancy, can open other risks that can change the outcomes. One condition called lymphocytopenia or a abnormally low number of lymphocytes (white blood cells) in the blood, results in shorter survival times for patients with advanced lung cancer.

There is a body of research that shows if you get a blood transfusion, you are at increased risk for metastatic cancer over those who do not get blood. The hospitals where whole organ transplants are preformed with out blood transfusions have higher survival rates than those hospitals where blood is given. A surgical team that can provide care with out blood transfusions will be able to improve lung cancer survival rates.

This is a further confounding factor in answering the question, what are lung cancer survival rates.

Boosting glutathione not only helps fight cancer, it helps the body boost red blood cell counts.

Understanding how complicated forecasting survival rates are, consider the statistics...

Here is the statistical rundown.

Five Year Survival Statistics

Stage I 56%
Stage II 34%
Stage III 10%
Stage IV 2%

Only stage I lung cancer is benefited with surgery alone and it is associated with a 5-year survival rate of 70%.

The estimated 10-year survival rate for subjects with stage I cancer was 88%.

The 10-year survival rate rose to 92% when patients with stage I lung cancer who underwent resection within 1 month following the diagnosis.

Stage IV lung cancer carries a 5-year survival rate of only 5%.

If your 30 years of age or younger and have surgically removable lung cancer, 5-year survival rates are around 85%.

Nearly half of limited-stage SCLC patients who have been treated aggressively are alive after 2 to 3 years.

There are constant improvements. Lung cancer survival cab be improved with CT scanning.

The important thing with lung cancer survival rates is the glutathione option. What if there was a better way. What if that better way provided better outcomes, better quality of life. There is a growing body of knowledge that shows boosting glutathione can improve lung cancer survival rates.

The Way to Make More GSH For Free

Glutathione has a high affinity for water. Simply put, if we are dehydrated our bodies may not make as much as they could. Or, what we do make may be less effective.

Usually there is something more than just being dehydrated. Often there is a condition called fluid and electrolyte imbalance, less than bodies needs. There is a simple, easy and inexpensive way to correct this, allowing your body to produce even more GSH.

The Water Cures Protocol really works. Give it a try today.

It is simple, easy, sustainable and affordable (the salt should cost less than $10 a year).

And like GSH, it will help with over 76 different diseases and conditions.
