Without Surgery: Focused Ultrasound

Focused ultrasound makes treatments possible with out traditional invasive surgery.

When most people hear the word ultrasound, their minds fill with the picture of viewing an unborn baby. Ultrasound is much more. Ultrasound provides real time evaluations with little potential to cause harm in numerous parts of the body.

Ultrasound is used to diagnose numerous health problems and challenges from the breast, abdomen, vagina, bladder and reproductive organs.

Today, ultrasound is being utilized effectively and safely for a host of health challenges across the entire scope of female anatomy—breast, vaginal, abdominal—and at every stage of a woman's life. Recent breakthroughs with the modality include exciting findings that validate the value of breast ultrasound for women at high risk for breast cancer as well as inroads in infertility diagnostics and treatment. This is a look at one of the latest ultrasound innovations.

Since it was first approved in 2014 for symptomatic uterine fibroids, in 2916 it is being used in some countries for essential tremor (Parkenson's) neuropathic pain, pancreatic cancers, and bone growth stimulation to name a few

Ultrasound Used to Treat Solid Malignancies

An article in . Radiological Medicine February, 2011: High-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) in patients with solid malignancies: evaluation of feasibility, local tumor response and clinical results.

Overview of The Study

The study was to evaluate the safety and study was to evaluate the safety and the results of using ultrasound-guided high-intensity focused ultrasound (USgHIFU) for removing solid tumors without damaging the surrounding tissue.

The study looked at 22 patients with tumors. The average size of the tumors was 1/8th inch (4.2 cm).

Liver or soft-tissue metastases from colorectal carcinoma: 9 patients. Outcome: complete response in 11/13 liver metastases. All soft-tissue and pancreatic lesions had a reduction in symptoms.

Pancreatic solid lesions: 6 patients. Outcomes: pancreatic lesions reduced symptoms.

Liver and or bone metastases from breast cancer: 3 patients. Outcome: All bone patients had reduced symptoms.

Osteosarcoma: 1 patient. Outcome: Reduction in symptoms.

Muscle metastasis from lung cancer: 1 Patient. Outcome: Reduction in symptoms.

Iliac metastasis from multiple myeloma: one patient. Outcome: Reduction in symptoms.

Abdominal liposarcoma: 1 patient. Outcome: was almost completely ablated.

Three patients had localized edema. There were no other side effects noted. All patients were discharged in as soon as one day and within three days.

Conclusions from the Study:

Although this was a very small study, the conclusion was that it is a safe and feasible way to preform a local-regional treatment and it effectively brought palliation in pain control.

The medical profession continues to push back the frontiers of knowledge, discovering new ways to improve the lives of patients. The ultrasound cancer treatment is one of the vehicles taking us to the new frontiers.

In addition to the above study, other studies looked at using ultrasound to treat leukemia. It holds promise.

The Glutathione Connection

The question then arises regarding ultrasound and glutathione and what if any is the connection or benefit.

The mechanism is not fully known or understood. It may be that the reactive oxygen species or free radicals cause the destruction of the cancer cells. However, once the treatment is completed, there is a considerable loss of glutathione. Close to half could be lost in the area of the ultrasound treatment.

At this time and until more studies are done, it would be best to contact the doctors at McGill University Hospital in Montreal who are working with glutathione to treat their patients before mixing it with ultrasound treatments on your own.

Even then, you will be proceeding on the frontiers of knowledge. This is rather new and exciting and it will take time to learn more about how and if it will work.

The Way to Make More GSH For Free

Glutathione has a high affinity for water. Simply put, if we are dehydrated our bodies may not make as much as they could. Or, what we do make may be less effective.

Usually there is something more than just being dehydrated. Often there is a condition called fluid and electrolyte imbalance, less than bodies needs. There is a simple, easy and inexpensive way to correct this, allowing your body to produce even more GSH.

The Water Cures Protocol really works. Give it a try today.

It is simple, easy, sustainable and affordable (the salt should cost less than $10 a year).

And like GSH, it will help with over 76 different diseases and conditions.
