Aspartame induced fibromyalgia is yet another reason to avoid artificial sweeteners.
A simple rule to live by, if it is not something man would eat 100 years ago when cancers and other diseases like fibromyalgia were rare or nonexistent, then do not eat it today. The artificial sweeteners on the market should be on the top of the list of the detrimental diet.
Before going on with aspartame as a causative agent...consider this...It Might Be....Lyme?
Fibromyalgia symptoms overlap with Lyme disease and are often initially diagnosed as fibromyalgia. While fibromyalgia is considered incurable, Lyme disease is treatable and the pain is resolved with numerous treatments. Women tend to be twice as likely to get a diagnoses of fibromyalgia. They tend to live with it for up to five years before getting a diagnosed. Women are also more likely to get a false negative Lyme test. Even Lyme Literate doctors get this wrong in my experience. One primary requirement, called the Lyme paradox, is that you need to be on antibiotics to get a test that can even be remotely accurate. Because of this, the true diagnosis may be delayed more than two years in over 60% of the cases. Due to Lyme disease being frequently misdiagnosed, LymeDisease.org has an easy to use checklist that you can fill out and take to your healthcare provider.
Consider a 2010 paper in Clinical and Experimental Rheumatology, a peer reviewed journal focused on the study of arthritis, rheumatism and various disorders of joints, muscles and ligaments.
The study looked at a 50 year old woman and a 43 year old man.
The woman had been suffering from pain and fatigue throughout her body for more than 10 years. She was diagnosed as having fibromyalgia.
The man had been experiencing forearm, wrist and cervical pain on both sides of his body. All treatments were unsuccessful until they found a single causative factor and subsequent cure.
There is a cure for Aspartame induced fibromyalgia. First, note what the doctor said.
The Doctors reported:
"We believe that these patients' chronic pain was due to the ingestion of aspartame, a potent flavoring agent, widely used in food as a calorie-saver."
The doctors further reported that...
"The benefit...of considering the diagnosis of aspartame-induced chronic pain is obvious… cure a disabling chronic disease, spare numerous laboratory and imaging investigations and avoid potentially harmful therapies…"
Please note that aspartame is not the only cause of fibromyalgia. There are perhaps many causes. It does provide a clue and a reason for only eating the foods that were eaten 100 years ago and not chemical laden foods of the detrimental diet.
In the above two cases, ingesting a chemical considered a food substitute was the cause of fibromyalgia.
A different study concluded that long term consumption of aspartame leads to hepatocellular (liver) injury and alterations in liver antioxidant status mainly through glutathione dependent system. In other words, it depleted the glutathione, one of the things that helps the body manage and even prevents fibromyalgia.
One treatment option would be to increase the glutathione by taking the building blocks by diet changes or by taking supplements in addition to discontinuing eating foods that have aspartame in them.

The Way to Make More GSH For Free
Glutathione has a high affinity for water. Simply put, if we are dehydrated our bodies may not make as much as they could. Or, what we do make may be less effective.
Usually there is something more than just being dehydrated. Often there is a condition called fluid and electrolyte imbalance, less than bodies needs. There is a simple, easy and inexpensive way to correct this, allowing your body to produce even more GSH.
The Water Cures Protocol really works. Give it a try today.
It is simple, easy, sustainable and affordable (the salt should cost less than $10 a year).
And like GSH, it will help with over 76 different diseases and conditions.
