Boosting glutathione is not enough. There is a need to avoid the Detrimental Diet. The diet is a list of foods and additives that can harm the body.

There are a several foods on the detrimental diet list. Additionally there are some food additives that likewise need to be avoided. Finally, exposure to toxic chemicals, many are carcinogenic, comes from food that has been sprayed with pesticides.

    This is not the typical food allergy, thus we call it ulterior food allergies.

    Technically it is possible to become allergic to any food. However only eight foods account for 90% of all food-allergic reactions. Here is the list.

    • milk
    • eggs
    • peanuts
    • tree nuts (walnut, cashew, etc.)
    • fish
    • shellfish
    • soy
    • wheat

    The worse case scenario of the allergic reaction is anaphylaxis. This is a serious allergic reaction that is rapid in onset and may cause death as a result of airway passages swelling shut so that breathing is impossible. This results in a condition that is not compatible with life.

    Outside of these allergic reactions, the same foods may be causing health problems. Eliminate the culprit and eliminate the health problem.

    It could be that simple.

  • Ulterior Food Additive Allergies

    High on the list is MSG or monosodium glutamate. This can cause numerous symptoms including pitting edema of the ankles and feet. This usually happens when the left side of the heart is sick and failing. Kind of scary that a food additive could cause it in humans.

  • Pesticides and Pathogens

    Another way to improve health, reduce or eliminate risk has to do with pesticide residues and pathogens on food. All food needs to be washed because of the risk of pathogens. Removing pesticides is another question.

  • Medicines and Medications
    The main medication that depletes glutathione is acetaminophen. It should be noted that one product that boosts your glutathione is actually patented for use with chemotherapy. Another product that boosts GSH is contraindicated or should not be used during chemotherapy.
